The Loudoun ’91 Black is a U-16 Girls soccer team representing Loudoun Soccer, in northern VA. In Fall 2007, Loudoun Soccer instituted a club-centric naming convention for all its teams. The Loudoun Rage became the Loudoun 91 Black.
The 91 Black are a group of dedicated players committed to playing at the highest level possible. Every girl on the team represents their High School team and has aspirations to play at the college level. We compete in D1 WAGS (Washington Area Girls Soccer), commonly believed to be the #1 league for girls in the USA. The team attracts players, not only from Loudoun County, but from surrounding areas as well.
The team is coached by Dave Edwards, who is also Director of Coaching (Travel) for Loudoun Soccer. Dave originates from Wales (U.K.), where he played at the professional, semi-professional and collegiate level. The coach’s philosophy is to create a positive, but disciplined environment where the girls can express themselves, believe in each other and play at the highest level. |
